Primary Schools

Our purpose is to emphasise that rape culture exists everywhere, not to point a finger at selected primary schools. The sheer number of testimonies reveals that rape culture is prevalent in all schools. This page was last updated in March 2025.

Everyone's Invited believes that ageing-down RSE is the best tool we have to prevent rape culture from taking root in young people. We learnt from speaking to thousands of secondary school-aged pupils that sexual violence is happening in their circles. The work we are doing in secondary settings isn't prevention, it's intervention. That's why we designed and sought funding for our flagship primary school programme. It is being led by our Head of Projects, Vanessa Hall, a teacher, facilitator and researcher with over seven years experience in the education sector.

The programme is designed to focus on early-age interventions to promote healthy relationships, teach emotional regulation and prevent misogyny in London primary schools. The programme will follow Year 5 students for two years into the end of their primary school journey. Everyone’s Invited aims to to educate Year 5 and 6 learners about: Boundaries, consent, emotional regulation and engaging critically with online content with a particular focus on algorithms and influencers.

Alongside this, Everyone’s Invited will deliver staff and parent training throughout the two years, focusing on upskilling adults on how to handle and navigate conversations around misogyny, stereotypes and consent with young children.
