Everyone's Invited is a movement which aims to expose and eradicate rape culture through empathy, compassion, and understanding. Rape culture is when attitudes, behaviours and beliefs in society have the effect of normalising and trivialising sexual violence. Everyone’s Invited is a safe place for survivors to share their stories completely anonymously. The act of sharing their story with Everyone’s Invited allows many survivors a sense of relief, catharsis, empowerment, and gives them a feeling of community and hope.

What is Everyone's Invited?

It means that everyone is invited to the conversation, and the movement, to end rape culture. Inclusivity and empathy are central values to our movement, and we wanted our name to reflect this.

Where can I find the Everyone's Invited School List?

It means someone has submitted an anonymous first hand testimony of rape culture to our website, and that person was either a student at that school, or their perpetrator was a student at that school at the time of the incident.

What does it mean if my school is on the School List?

Yes, we will update the School List. However, the time it takes to process each testimony and compile the data from these so we can update the list means that the School List will not be updated in the near future. This is something that our volunteers are constantly working on.

Will the School List be updated?

These are submissions of sexual harassment, sexual abuse online, sexual assault, and rape. Our submissions range from non-contact behaviours such as catcalling and sexist remarks, to violent and dangerous behaviour such as paedophilia and forced physical rape.

What do you mean by 'a submission of rape culture'?

Posting submissions is part of our mission project: firstly, to amplify the voices of survivors and secondly, to expose the reality of rape culture.

What is the aim of posting these submissions?

Submissions are sent through the form on our website (the link to this is in our Instagram bio). We cannot receive or process submissions if they are not sent through this website form. This means that submissions sent via dm, email, or sent into our Suggestion Box, will not be posted and will not be included as part of our data.

Where can I submit my story?

If a school or university is mentioned in an Everyone's Invited submission, it could be the institution of the victim or the perpetrator/s. Sometimes when submitting, survivors will write their own school/university as well as that of the perpetrators.

What does it mean if a school/university's name is attached to a submission?

The submission is added to our submission database. The submission then has to be proofread by our volunteers to ensure it is a first hand submission of rape culture. We also ensure that the submission is entirely anonymous so that persons cannot be identified. After this process, the submission can be posted. Please see our 

What happens after I submit?

We have a backlog of over 50,000 submissions. Our volunteers work incredibly hard to carefully proofread them and protect the identity of those who write in, but this work takes a long time. It's very difficult to predict when certain submission will be posted as the rate of submissions is always changing.

How long until my submission will be published?

Currently, we are not publishing the school's name alongside the story, even if you include it in your submission. It will be included in group data (such as the School's List), but the name of your school will not be included when the individual testimony is made public.

What information is included in my submission when it is published?

We make sure all published submissions are fully anonymised. Once they are entirely anonymous, it is quite difficult for us to find them and remove them. However, if you want to request this, you can submit information about your story to the
